The Real Estate and Construction Centre (RECC) was established in 1993 to provide an alternative avenue for quality education, research and advice for the real estate and construction industry.

It has its headquarters in Singapore and a regional Centre in Malaysia. There are plans underway to establish other regional Centres in Brunei, Indonesia, Hong Kong (SAR) and PRC.

RECC is privileged to be networked to major international real estate and construction R&D Centres and work with experts from academia and the industry to provide state-of-the-art technology transfer, research and advice.

The range of services offered by the Centre include:

• Job Re-design and Re-creation Facilitation and Skills Training and Lifelong Learning for the Real Estate Management & Maintenance Industry under the auspices of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA).

• RECC Executive Training Courses which provide leading edge knowledge and a forum for discussing developments in the market.
• Distance Learning Programmes awarded by renowned universities, and professional bodies in Australia, Europe, UK and USA.
• Research & Consultancy in building technology, project and facility management and maintenance, feasibility and life cycle cost studies, tendering strategies, defects assessment and dispute resolution.

RECC Director - Dr Quah Lee Kiang
Dr Quah is the Director of the Real Estate and Construction Centre in Singapore and Malaysia. She has extensive regional and international experience in Project and Facilities Management & Maintenance research, advice and academia. Her professional and research affiliations include being Coordinator of the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) Working Commission 70 on Facilities Management and Maintenance from 1990-2000 and past President of the Chartered Institute of Building Singapore Centre for two terms. She was conferred an Honorary Fellow by Oxford Brookes University in UK for the extraordinary impact her work has had in Asia.
